Proceeds benefit Montrose High School's Interact Projects, including the international Belize Blood Project and local projects.

Youth Montrose Mudder

This year, Maslow Academy and Bright Beginnings will sponsor a Youth Montrose Mudder from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. All children are encouraged to participate; however, any children under the age of 5 will need to be accompanied by a parent. The scaled-down route will include five obstacles to complete and a rinse station to get clean afterward. There are no fees to participate, so please come and join the fun and support these local organizations.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Men/women - $200 (first), $100 (second), and $50 (third)
  • Youth - $100 (first), $50 (second), and $25 (third)
  • Team - $400 to the fastest team

Awards ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m.

2024 Montrose Mudder FAQs

PRE-REGISTRATION | Registering before the event is required! Day-of registrations will be accepted, but you will not be timed or eligible to receive prizes. Price to Register: $45 per individual, $160 per team. No children under 6 years of age are allowed to participate. The deadline for online registration ends at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

PRE-CHECK IN | Registrants are asked to pick up their swag bags and bibs before the event. Everyone must sign an individual waiver, regardless if they are on a team or not. Here is a list of when and where you can pick you can pick up your items:

  • Pavilion Event Center - 1800 East Pavilion Drive: April 29, April 30, May 1, and May 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (you may also register in person during these times, if needed)
  • The Rusty Putter Restaurant - Black Canyon Golf Course - 1350 Birch Street: May 3 from noon to 6 p.m.

WHEN TO ARRIVE | Please be sure to arrive at NOON, and make your way to the grassy area in front of the amphitheater.  If you were not able to take advantage of pre-check-in, you will need to go to the main information booth to receive your bib and goodie bag.

WHERE TO PARK | Cerise Park is the best option, however, once it fills up, we recommend parking at either Sunset Mesa and walking the trail down to the amphitheater or parking at Riverbottom Park and taking the Connect Trail to the amphitheater.

HEATS | There will be two heats to choose from: competitive and leisure.

WHAT TO DO WITH BELONGINGS | Store anything you can in your car or with a friend/family member. We'll have provisions for checking small items (keys, phones, etc.) at registration but we are not responsible for anything that may be lost, stolen, or damaged.

RACE TIMELINE | The race will begin at 1 p.m., with the COMPETITIVE heats going first. The leisure heats will begin shortly after. If you have any questions about the timing aspect of the race, please contact bhunter@360insco.com.

BEER GARDEN | Service begins at 3 p.m. at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater and is brought to you by the Montrose Rotary Group.

FOOD TRUCK VILLAGE | Service begins at 1 p.m. at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. Food and beverages will be provided to all race participants; further information will follow.

AWARDS CEREMONY | There will be 10 winners: 3 men, 3 women, 3 kids (ages 6 - 12), and 1 team. The ceremony begins at 4 p.m. at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. There will be prizes for each race category, so be sure to stick around!

LIVE MUSIC | There will be a free concert featuring Union of None. They will begin their performance at 4 p.m. Mudder participants and the general public are invited to attend!

WHAT TO WEAR | We suggest wearing normal running shoes. SPIKES AND CLEATS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Dress in comfortable clothing and bring dry clothing to change into once the race has finished. Sunscreen is a necessity. Make sure to come hydrated and take advantage of the water stations.
