Western Colorado Farm and Ranch Innovation Expo
On November 15th and 16th, the Shavano Conservation District Western Colorado Soil Health Committee and CSU Extension are pleased to invite the agricultural community to the first annual Western Colorado Farm and Ranch Innovation Expo. This two-day event, which will be held at the Montrose Event Center, will include live demonstrations, talks, and many displays. Specialists will be available to discuss the innovations and answer questions.
Steve Hale, President of, Shavano Conservation District, said “We are excited to bring this event to western Colorado. Our goal is to educate and support western Colorado and regional agricultural communities. The Montrose Event Center is a great facility that provides plenty of space for interaction between innovators and producers wanting to learn how they can improve their operations.
“The Expo will be a chance for large and small operators to learn how they can use new techniques in livestock management, seed treatment, weed control, soil amendments, agrivoltaic options, and benefits, water management, drone applications, intercropping, marketing opportunities, labor and cost savings and much more. Having all the information and demonstrations available in one place will allow operators to see how they can integrate multiple changes to improve the effective use of their resources.”
The Expo at the Montrose County Event Center (1001 N 7th Street) will be FREE and open to the public on Friday, November 15th from noon to 5 pm and Saturday, November 16th from 9 am to 5 pm. More information is available at www.shavanocd.org.
