Chief Ouray died on August 24, 1880, and his wife Chipeta passed on August 17, 1924. Our three-mile walk and fun run also honors the three Ute tribes and will be backdropped by the beautiful San Juan Mountains, their ancestral home. To celebrate their legacy and to add to the fun, we will be making this a Color Run! Don’t forget to join us after for our Root Beer Float Social. Join us for our Chief Ouray and Chipeta Color Walk and Run from 9 to 11 am.
Contact the Ute Indian Museum (970) 249-3098 for Walk/Run registration.
Walk/run is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Includes walk T-shirt! "
